Enjoy a winter holiday concert by Rhode Island folk duo Atwater-Donnelly on Sunday, December 8 at 2 p.m.
In celebration of winter, light, and American diversity, see a performance of ancient and new carols and songs of Christmas, winter solstice, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa. Hear gorgeous and unusual harmonies and faithful arrangements on guitar, Appalachian mountain dulcimer, mandolin, tin whistle, harmonica, banjo, bones, spoons, and limberjacks.
Self-taught musicians Aubrey Atwater and Elwood Donnelly met and formed a duo in 1987 and married in 1989. They have researched and performed traditional folk music and dance in Appalachia, the Ozarks, New England, and other key places in the United States, as well as Ireland, England and Prince Edward Island.
This event is free and open to all.
