Join microplastics scientist Dr. Victoria Fulfer for a talk about microplastics pollution in Narragansett Bay on Tuesday April 29, at 5:30pm.
Failures of recycling in the U.S. and around the world have caused microplastics to be everywhere—including our local beaches.
A recent study by Dr. Victoria Fulfer and URI professor of oceanography J.P. Walsh revealed that the the floor of Narragansett Bay is covered in more than 1,000 tons of microplastics which appeared in the last 10 to 20 years.
This event is free and open to all.
