Community Conversation on Media and Polarization

Two Women Talking into Microphones

How does the media impact you, your friends, and your family?

Over the last 50 years, our media has shifted from major networks and newspapers to specialized sources with specific audiences. What happens in our relationships as a result of having specialized media sources that limits our perspective and understanding?

Come for a respectful discussion about breaking down our media bubbles and to try to find common ground on Thursday, December 5 at 10:30 a.m. and Wednesday, December 11 at 6 p.m.

"Living Room Conversations are structured to increase understanding, reveal common ground, and allow us to discuss possible solutions" (LRC, 2024).

These conversations can help:

  • Improve listening skills
  • Foster an open mindset
  • Establish connections and trust

This event is free and open to all.
